City staff will be presenting an Information and Recommendation report to the Planning and Development Committee on December 11, 2023. Staff have prepared recommendations on transitioning the temporary permissions for outdoor patios to permanent ones. This report will also propose changes to other City by-laws governing public lands and fees in relation to outdoor patios, including proposing a two-year waiver of associated fees, and granting permission for long-term patio structures on sidewalks and lay-by parking areas in Port Credit.
