The City completed Phase 1 of public engagement in the second quarter of 2023 to understand what facilities, amenities and features residents prioritize in the expansion and redevelopment of Cooksville Park and Iggy Kaneff Park. More than 530 residents provided feedback through a survey. The Closing the Loop Summary for Phase 1 outlines the key public engagement findings which has informed the park programming and conceptual park design.
Ongoing negotiations for acquisition of additional properties continue, which will further expand Cooksville Park and Iggy Kaneff Park. Future phases of redevelopment will be required as the parks continue to expand.
