Lakeshore East Corridor Study

The City is commencing a review of built form, height and density along the Lakeshore Road East Corridor in the Lakeview area. The goal of the study is to refine the policy framework that will guide future growth and a compatible form of new development in the area.

The study covers the frontage properties along Lakeshore Road East between Seneca Avenue and the Etobicoke Creek (see map below). The Lakeview Village Master Plan and the surrounding properties are not included in the study area, as these lands were part of the Inspiration Lakeview project.

  • Join Us! Recommendations Report Notice

    We will be presenting the recommendations at the Planning and Development Committee (PDC) meeting on Monday, March 28 at 6:00 PM. Community members can attend to ask questions and share further comments on the proposed changes to the Official Plan and Lakeshore Road East Corridor. The PDC report will be available online one week prior to the meeting here.

    This meeting will be held in person and online. Advance registration is required to make a verbal submission at the meeting virtually.     Advance registration is required to participate and/or make comment virtually at the public meeting. Please email deputations.presentations@mississauga.ca no later than Friday at 4:00 p.m. prior to the meeting date. Any materials you wish to show the Committee during your presentation must be provided as an attachment to the email. Links to cloud services will not be accepted. You will be provided with directions on how to participate from Clerks' staff.

    Residents without access to the internet can participate and/or make comment in the meeting via telephone. To register, please call Megan Piercey at 905-615-3200 ext. 4915 no later than Friday at 4:00 p.m. prior to the meeting date. You must provide your name, phone number, and application number if you wish to speak to the Committee. You will be provided with directions on how to participate from Clerks' staff.

    Join local residents for a virtual community meeting and discussion to review preliminary recommendations for urban design and policy directions to manage compatible growth along the Lakeshore East Corridor. Having reviewed community feedback from the February and May community meetings, we have prepared preliminary recommendations. We will be providing an agenda and the preliminary recommendations on June 3.

The planning study will review the built form, height and density policies that guide future development along the Lakeshore East Corridor in the Lakeview area.
