Public Art at Zonta Meadows Park

Help select new public art

The City's public art program contributes vibrancy, colour, and character to public spaces in Mississauga. Through a formal selection process, the City commissions professional artists to create art that is free and accessible for all to enjoy.

As part of the City's redevelopment of Zonta Meadows Park, the City is commissioning an artist or artist team to create art that encourages walkability, social connection, and community wellbeing. The project is funded through a contribution from Amacon.

The City invited professional artists to submit credentials and expressions of interest. Submissions were evaluated by an art selection committee, comprised of individuals with expertise in contemporary art, design, architecture, and knowledge of the local neighbourhood. From this call, three applicants were shortlisted and invited to develop proposals.

We're looking to Mississauga residents to help the art selection committee choose the winning design. Review the proposals below then take the survey, which closes March 22, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. We encourage you to subscribe for updates at the top of the page to stay informed about future opportunities to provide input.

Wishing Well

Artist: Jennifer Marman and Daniel Borins

Form and Flow: Seven graceful portals cascade in a semicircular arc, evoking the fluid movement of the Credit River and inviting visitors to flow through a cerulean canopy. This image captures that sense of play, showing a child dancing through the open structure while adults engage with the space, illustrating how the "waterfall" of tubes creates an open, welcoming sculptural pavilion for all ages.
