Mississauga Library is hosting a photography contest in celebration of the City of Mississauga’s 50th anniversary.
From June 1 to August 31, 2024, Mississauga residents aged 12 to 24 are encouraged to grab their cameras and capture photography of their favourite places in Mississauga. Participants should aim to photograph places they love and find meaningful in the city, including parks, landmarks, community spaces, neighborhoods and hidden gems.
To honour and preserve 50-plus years of Mississauga’s history and celebrate our city’s exciting future, every submission will be archived in the Mississauga Library Historic Images Gallery collection.
All submissions will be reviewed by the Teen Advisory Group in September, and 10 finalists will be selected for the short-list voting. More details will be shared in September regarding the vote for the final winner.

No more than three photos per participant, with each photo taken at a different location
Participants must be a Mississauga youth between the ages of 12 and 24
The photo must be shot in the City of Mississauga
The photo must be original work
Avoid excessive editing of the image. Any post-processing edits must be disclosed.
Maximum size per photo for upload: 10 MB
File types: JPEG, PNG
