About the project
The City of Mississauga is creating a Stormwater Master Plan, titled Build Beautiful. Stormwater (rainwater) is the rain and melted snow flowing from your property that drains along streets, ditches, storm drains and watercourses into Lake Ontario.
The Stormwater Master Plan will outline actions and recommendations for managing rainwater over the immediate and long-term in Mississauga. With this new plan, the City will chart a course towards protecting our businesses and residents and preserving our natural environment by refining its approach to address issues facing Mississauga including flooding and water quality.
The City is working with its municipal partners, the Region of Peel, Credit Valley Conservation, Toronto Region Conservation Authority, and Conservation Halton to ensure the plan is current and comprehensive.
