Uptown Node Character Area OPA Virtual Community Meeting
The City of Mississauga undertook an analysis and review of the Uptown Node to understand the impacts of growth in the area on infrastructure and services. Staff identified policies for the Uptown Node that could help to manage future growth and ensure that the Node can thrive as a complete, vibrant and well served community into the future.

Uptown Node Character Area OPA Public Meeting
6:00 p.m. Mississauga Civic Centre Council Chambers 300 City Centre Drive
This meeting will be held in person and online. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the public are encouraged to participate online. Advance registration is required to attend the meeting in person due to limited seating.

On Monday October 19, 2020 we will be presenting a report to the City’s Planning and Development Committee (PDC) To consider changes to the Mississauga Official Plan for the Uptown Major Node Character Area.
The purpose of this Amendment is to revise policies for the Uptown Major Node Character Area including items such as parkland provisions, employment, affordable housing, block size and road network, and development master plans.

On November 23, 2020 we will be presenting a report to the City’s Planning and Development Committee (PDC) addressing issues raised at an earlier Public Meeting on October 19, 2020 related to changes to the Mississauga Official Plan for the Uptown Major Node Character Area. Planning and Building staff will provide a recommendation on the proposal and PDC will make a decision at the meeting.
