Elmcreek Park Improvements

The City's public art program commissions professional artists to create visual art for public spaces.

The City is working on improving Elmcreek Park to better serve the community and provide new and improved features for residents and visitors. These enhancements include: a barrier-free playground to replace the current one, shaded seating areas with umbrella tables, a beach volleyball court, an upgraded basketball court, fitness stations, a natural ice rink, an improved spray pad, and a community plaza.

As part of these upgrades, the public art program invited three professional artists to submit proposals for the design of the new and improved basketball court!

Community Feedback

Three artists were shortlisted for Malton community members to provide feedback on each their designs.

    Three artists have been shortlisted to propose a mural for Elmcreek Park’s basketball court, aiming to enhance the park's beauty, reflect the community's vibrancy, celebrate Malton's pride, and bring the park to life.You have the opportunity to provide feedback on each artist's designs.
